Ruha letter stencil, a multi stylistic typographic system workshop (EXD15). This project was initially developed as a teaching tool for graphic design students to learn from experiment letter shape as a significant in graphic communications. Tipos das letras went to Bergen (Norway) to made Ruha Stencil workshop at Bergen Academy of Art and Design. Workshop participants developed typographical posters with Ruha ruler with the theme “Archizines” of which were presented during the event. Thanks to for invited us, it was a great time! Designed by Tipos das Letras, TDL Ruha Harline is a modern and mechanical serif typeface and is the result of stencil’s RUHA development. Being the first typeface of the family, it sets the basic concepts for further development, on each version to come. Maintaining the same structure with different typographical and stylistic properties, the stencil allows to explore a modern typeface, with vertical stress, high contrast between the thick and thin strokes and hairline serifs. Tipos das Letras (TdL) is an independent digital type foundry created in 2013 by Aprígio Morgado, Ricardo Santos and Rúben Dias.
